How do you shop strategically?

Now that you have your questions answered…how do you actually shop strategically? It is really quite simple… you take the sales papers determine which items are at rock bottom and that you need based upon your usage number less your stockpile.  Then you check your coupon file to see if you have a coupon for the item.  If you don’t, then you can look online for a coupon to see if one is available for printing.  At that point, you make your list and go shopping.

One thing I try to do is when I use an item, I put it on a list so that when the item comes on sale at rock bottom I know how much I used since the last time.  This has helped me quite a bit to stop over-purchasing situations especially as there is nothing more frustrating than having to throw away perfectly good food because I didn’t use them before it expired.
