  • Desperate plans are often turned to God's glory and purpose despite the original intention.  This is what occurs in "McKenzie" a Christian fiction historical romance by Penny Zeller.  It is the first of three in the Montana Skies series published by Whitaker House.

    My Review

McKenzie is a young lady of high society living with her wealthy parents in Boston.  She is desperate to find and rescue her sister who is married to an abusive husband and living out West.  This desperation leads her to plan on becoming a mail order bride to support the search.  After she rescues her sister, McKenzie’s plan is to divorce her husband and return to Boston.  However, her husband, Zach is unaware  of McKenzie’s plan.  This story has many twists and turns as the plan begin to work to God’s purpose not McKenzie's.  This is an enjoyable read and one to be re-read.
