The fight against heart disease is very personal to me. Four years ago on Christmas Day, I lost my Dad to a heart attack...this disease took away the most wonderful man I had ever known and kept my boys from ever knowing their Papal and made Christmas a bitter sweet time for me... (this was originally a very sad time for my family, but God choose to bless us with our first son on December 23 two years later so now it is only bitter sweet). This Christmas, my mother went into the hospital for what we thought was just pneumonia... turns out she had been the victim of a silent heart attack. Needless to say, this fight is one that I want to support.
